Clergy Come Together For a Time of Healing and Reconciliation

Wednesday, October 18, 2017
In the midst of a tumultuous time of racial division and violence, two clergy have come together to bring healing to a wounded nation. Dr. David Anderson, Founding and Senior Pastor of Bridgeway Community Church in Columbia, MD, and Father Dean Schultz, Assistant Rector of Church of the Holy Spirit in Leesburg, VA, will bring together clergy and leaders from across the country in an effort to bring unity and comfort to the nation. On Saturday, October 21 from 2pm to 4pm, they will host The Lord’s Table Gathering on the West Lawn of the US Capitol in Washington, DC. It will be a time of communion, confession, and repentance where clergy will administer communion to the general public. “We believe that the Lord’s Table is to be corporately observed by faithful followers of Jesus Christ.,” says Anderson. “We believe that the Lord’s Table can serve as powerful symbol to bring the body of Christ together. We desperately need the Lord's Table to be the epicenter of repentance, reconciliation, and revival for such a time as this!” Shultz adds, “When we gather at the Lord’s Table with clean hands and pure hearts to partake of the Eucharistic gifts of bread and fruit of the vine, we are spiritually renewed and then sent forth as Christ’s ambassadors of reconciliation to make disciples of all nations.” To find out more about this historic event, please visit .
